The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club announced to cancel all 1-km categories for Annual Chase 2008, which will be held this Sunday, 16 March 2008.

The Club has taken this precautionary measure to help curb the flu outbreak among the young children.

The cancelled categories include the below:

- Rotarian Men's (18+) - Rotarian Ladies' (18+) - Men's Junior A (15-17) - Men's Junior B (12-14) - Ladies' Junior A (15-17) - Ladies' Junior B (12-14) - Kids A (9-11) - Kids B (6-8) - Parent & Child Team (Child aged 3-5)

清水灣鄉村俱樂部為防範流感於兒童及青少年之間互相傳染，宣佈取消將於二零零八年三月十六日舉行之清水灣長跑賽所有一公里賽事。 當中包括：

Overview

The Club's Annual Chase in on again! This year the action is set to be on Sunday, 16 March. Apart from our famous 10-km roller coaster route for both individual and corporate entries, 1-km run is also available for kids and parent & child runs too. There is certainly something for everyone. So get your running shoes ready!

Entry fees* : $155 per member and $185 per guest

*ChampionChip timing system will be used in all 10km categories. Participants are requested to wear ChampionChip, and pay a cheque of $100 as deposit upon application.

Conclusion

What another wonderful event on 16 March 2008 at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. Despite the cancellation of all 1km categories as a precautionary measure to curb the recent flu outbreak among young children, we saw over 300 runners challenged our 10-km roller coaster route. The weather was perfect for runners - cloudy, cool with light breezes; but sunshine was plentiful when we held our prize presentation and lucky draw at Marina lawn. The newly added category "Corporate Team Challenge" this year has raised over $60,000 for The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council.

Please bring along your ID to the below address for collection.
