A training culture has been developed within the Club, being highly supported by the Management and the Committee Board. We offer a wide range of training programmes which include:

Health & Safety Measurement
The Club spreads over 300 acres and with extensive outdoor area. It is important that the Club imposes very strict safety measures to ensure all staff work under a safe & hygienic environment. A Health and Safety Group has been set up to enforce major health and safety checks:
- Health & Safety Awareness Training to New Colleagues
- Regular Risk Assessment
- Undertaking of Health & Safety Ordinances
The Club also invited the Occupational Safety & Health Council (OSHC) to conduct an independent safety audit to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and reliability of the Club's Safety Management System. The OSHC has positively commented that the Club management is committed to ensuring the occupational safety and health of employees is in line with the legislative requirements; where issues have arisen, the Club has taken steps to effectively resolve safety and health problems, and communicate safety information properly.
Hygiene Conscious
Apart from safety, the Club also invited an independent hygiene consulting company to conduct surprise audits at all our restaurants, and was awarded the Hygiene Conscious Establishment Certificate.

Job Description
- To supervise the golf operations staff in the daily operations of golfing facilities and to ensure top class service in a timely manner
- 2-3 years of experience in golf operations including golf facilities management
- Possessing sports & recreation club’s operation experience will also be considered
- Great customer services focus with excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and result-oriented
- Fluent in both spoken & written English & Cantonese and computer knowledge including MS Office is a must
- Willing to work on weekends & public holidays and shift duty is required
To work in the office of Golf Course & Landscape Maintenance Department with the following job responsibilities:
- Manage inventory movement (incoming and outgoing) and control stock level with accuracy
- Prepare inventory reports
- Provide support to the Administrator of the department
- Control inventories involving mechanic spare parts, fertilizer, pesticides and other agriculture products
- Minimum Form 5 standard
- 2-3 years relevant experience in storekeeping
- Self-motivated, good communication skills and able to work independently
- Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese
- Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
Responsibilities
- To assist the Engineering Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Engineering Department and Project Management
- Implement & operate the preventive & corrective maintenance for electrical, air-conditioning, plumbing, drainage, fire detection & fighting installation, catering & kitchen equipments and general building works
- Investigate technical problems and derive solutions
- Keep track of building services systems operating conditions & initiate corrective measures
- Plan the maintenance tasks to ensure it is well fit with operational, budgetary and safety requirements. Ensure the maintenance resources are fully utilised to achieve the desired output
- Monitor the club's safety requirements in maintenance plan
- Degree in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position in building / property maintenance, hotel or club experience preferable
- Possess a registered electrical worker license (Grade B or above)
- Service oriented, excellent leadership skills & innovative mindset
- Good communication & interpersonal skills in both English & Chinese
Requirements
- Matriculated or above, diploma or certificate holder in sports or leisure management preferably
- 2 years relevant experience in golf / recreation club or hotel industry
- Solid experience in organizing kids activities, teambuilding workshops and sports events
- Possess retail or pro-shop experience will be advantageous
- Pleasant & outgoing personality, customer service oriented with good communication skills & excellent telephone manner
- Outdoor exposure is necessary and willing to work on shift, weekends and public holidays
- Fluency in written & spoken English & Chinese
Requirements
- Form 5 standard with minimum 2 years customer service experience, relevant experience in club or hospitality industry will be advantageous
- Responsible for handling golf bags and providing golf cart service & golf bags storage
- Pleasant, enthusiastic, good team player with excellent customer service attitude
- Able to communicate in English & Cantonese
- Outdoor work is required and willing to work on shifts, weekends & public holidays (overnight duty is not required)
- Possess valid driving license will be advantageous

Student Trainee (Human Resources Department)
- Assist in handling recruitment & staff activities, compensation & benefits administration and training & development co-ordination
- Assist in handling the application of membership, conducting market research and organizing club events
- Maintain member relations in professional manner
- Assist in preparing club’s publications, handling festival decoration, organizing club events and maintaining club website
- Participate in marketing activities and public relations events
Placement Duration: Full time for 10-week
Placement Period: July - August 2010
Student Trainee (Food & Beverage Department)
- Assist in daily restaurant operations and providing professional F&B services to our members & guests
With the mission of providing work-based learning experience to nurture undergraduates, Club would collaborate with universities or education institutes to provide practical training experience to students who are studying agriculture, soil science, landscape maintenance & turf management, etc. The placement will take place in our Golf Course & Landscape Maintenance Department, which is responsible for maintaining our golf courses and landscape in the finest condition.
Upon completion of the placement programme, the student would be able to:
- Gain expertise and proficiency in turf and grounds skills
- Gain a better understanding of the overall golf course maintenance operation
