Marina
The Assistant Marina Manager reports directly to the Marina Manager and assists in overseeing the marina and boatyard operations. He or she is responsible for ensuring the daily smooth running of these key areas in order to facilitate the fulfillment of operational goals whilst providing excellent customer service as well as complying with government regulations and club policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and monitoring the daily marina & boatyard operations
- Oversee the daily boatyard operations and monitor boat repair/maintenance including antifouling, painting, waxing, engine servicing, etc
- Source locally and internationally specific marine parts for boat repairs and mobile lifting gear, when necessary
- Prepare expert recommendations with informative estimates for repairs
- Maintain excellent relationships with members and boat crews, responsive to enquires and to resolve problems
- Maintain and ensure a safe facility environment and implement preventive maintenance programs and comprehensive risk management protocols
- Achieve business results and manage costs according to the set budgetary targets
- Train and supervise marina staff members and ensure all personnel follow the established policies and procedures
Requirements
- A minimum of 4-5 years relevant work experience preferably gained from renowned marina club
- Maintenance experience and knowledge in carpentry, mechanical, electrical & equipment maintenance
- Management experience is highly preferred
- Good team player, great customer service focus with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Good clerical skills and proficient in computer knowledge
- Good command of written and spoken English
